About
James Person
James Person is an independent filmmaker from Virginia and the founder of Full Access Films. He works as director, writer, cinematographer and producer — often all on the same picture — building films out of the histories, the folklore and the unfinished business of the places he shoots in.
His 2018 documentary thriller Crawford Road remains his most widely seen work. Since then he has released the supernatural thriller Ten Doors (2022), the Civil War-rooted thriller The Blood of Saltville (2024), and the documentary The Explore Act: Price Versus Barr (2025). He and collaborator Gordy Price were profiled on WHRO's Curate for their Virginia-based independent films.
